Weigh-In Dates:


1st: Sunday, May 10, 2009 (Mother's Day)

2nd: Sunday, June 7, 2009 (Location: TBA, Time: 5pm)

3rd: Sunday, July 5, 2009 (Independence Day Weekend)

4th: Sunday, August 2, 2009 (Final Weigh-In)


Grand Finale/Winner Revealed: Sunday, August 9, 2009 (Banquest Style)



Biggest Loser Terms:


1. There is a $20 buy-in, which will be used for the Grand Prize to the person who loses the biggest percentage of weight loss at the end of the competition.  Calculating percentage rather than pounds will make it fair for competitors of all sizes!

2. The competition will last 4 months, starting on Mother's Day (May 10th) and ending in August!

3. The first weigh-in and the time that you will give your $20 "enrollment fee" and donations (more about donations later) will be on Mother's Day, so bring light clothes to change into for your weigh-in. There will be a weigh-in every month (the list of dates to come) in which everyone will get to hear everyone's weight-percentage loss or gain. 

4. After each weigh-in, there will be a Pop Fitness Challenge. This is the time where the contestants compete in a physical challenge to win money or a prize.  This is where donations come in.  For those who are not competing, but are supporters of the competition, you can donate gift cards or money any time throughout the 6 months (Your choice as to how much).  These Pop Fitness Challenges will give everyone a chance to win something throughout the competition.  For those who are competing, make sure to bring work-out clothes to each weigh-in... you never know what kind of physical activity you'll be doing! I encourage non-players to attend weigh-ins so to cheer them on and be supportive during the Pop Fitness Challenges.

5. I am also putting out a call for Fit Buddies, which are those who will push the competitors to work out regularly and/or can encourage the competitors to eat healthy.  I'm am volunteering/appointing Uncle Floyd and Auntie Gi to be two of those Fit Buddies! They will be your Bob and Jillian (for those of you who don't watch the biggest loser, they are the trainers).

6. Anyone can sign up to join the competition--no limits on age.  If you have close friends/significant others who would like to join, they are welcome to, but let them know about the monthly commitment. 

7. If you cannot attend a weigh-in, let me know in advance and I (or someone else) will weigh you in before the month's weigh-in event.  However, all competitors will need to be present for the first weigh-in.



Rules:

1. Prescription weight loss medications are not allowed. STARVING is not allowed--that is not the proper way to lose weight and will cause all sorts of mental and physical issues. Anyone found to be doing either of these two things will be disqualified.

2. There will be different rules for each Pop Fitness Challenge (PFC). If you decide to sit out of the challenge for medical reasons only, you are not eligible to win the Pop Fitness Challenge prize.  If you know that you have a medical issue, please let me know in advance so that you don't just make things up on the spot when you find out what the challenge is. So far, I know that UBo has a bad foot and AJ has a bad knee. 

3. Spectators cannot heckle the players during PFCs or distract them into messing up. However, that rule does not apply to the players (let the sabotaging begin... hehehe).  Once a player is eliminated form the PFC, he/she becomes a spectator.  Spectators can only cheer and encourage. Anyone who breaks the rule will be asked to leave.

4. Contestants who are not properly dressed for PFCs will not be allowed to compete in that PFC.  For example, no flip flops please! This is for your own safety. I don't want to have to call out the paramedics!

5. No bribing people out of winning the competition, of course.

6. Last but not least, as Fergie says, No No Drama, No No No No Drama! This is supposed to be fun, so leave your attitudes out of it!


7. (New Rule):  If you are late to the weigh-in, you will have a ONE POUND DISADVANTAGE for that weigh-in for every 5 minutes that you are not there.
